Our Vision, Our Ethic

Vision for the Future... Inexpensive Water Re-use!

(the regulations have yet to catch up to our technology)

This New Mexico garden is watered with reclaimed wastewater using SludgeHammer technology in the the septic tank.  Sunset Magazine, March 2007 pages 100 & 101.   SludgeHammer is Simple, Effective, Spectacular, and the Future of Wastewater Re-use!

How can we any longer justify flushing toilets with drinking water or force poorly treated wastewater into our aquifers in the light of such compelling elegant technology?  The future is in "resource water".  We must stop wasting our "wastewater"!  Ken Morse, 2007

Homeowners:

NET Septic is dedicated to empowering homeowners by bringing Environmentally Friendly (Green) Septic System Products to market in the Northwest.  To protect your most valuable earthly asset you want a septic system that works.

We promote only the most effective products. We believe in products that are tested especially if they meet stringent Nationally-developed Standards.  The SludgeHammer is such a product.  Developed by a PhD Scientist it is 3rd Party tested and is Uniform Plumbing Code listed, we are confident we have a winner.

We are also aware that many homeowners don't have a big bankroll.  Some septic repairs are hitting $30,000 so we are confident you will appreciate our cost-conscience approach...

Our SludgeHammer product (installed price) costs just a fraction of most repairs, and there is virtually no landscape damage!  You will be pleased with the price.  Call now to schedule a confidential evaluation (360) 923-1080.

On-Site Professionals:

I've worked hard since 2004 to bring the SludgeHammer (formally Pirana) technology to the Northwest.  You have seen us at WOSSA, AWWMA and O2WAVisit us at the January 2008 WOSSA Conference, this will be our 4th year.  Visit www.WOSSA.org for Conference details.

Our Legislation  We have improved upon last years legislation and will reintroduce it in the 2008 Washington Legislative Session.  It will allow all qualifying products recognized under the new Remediation Standard and is not product-specific in nature.  We believe this is fair and have worked hard to incorporate suggestions by WOSSA, on-site professionals, and other stakeholders.  Many thanks to John Thomas (WOSSA) and Dave Lenning (DOH) for the July '07 meeting at the WSU Extension  center in Puyallup. (go Cougs!)

My Goal is to provide you, the on-site professional, with more opportunity to do good for your customers.  At the same time SludgeHammer can improve your bottom line with virtually no additional capital cost.  I am committed to helping you succeed with SludgeHammer.  Many of you will be able to build a dynamic profitable business around the NET Septic product line starting with the SludgeHammer Aerobic Bacteria Generator.

Call Ken at (360) 923-1080 for Dealer Opportunities.  By the way, we have new products under development which will increase your future opportunities.  Stick with us, SludgeHammer has the most experience and the best products.

Regulatory Professionals:

This is a very exciting time for Environmental Health because we now have a new tool which address the most critical on-site problems:

  1. Low cost septic system recovery

  2. Non-point source pollution (remarkable fecal coliform & nitrate reductions)

  3. Water reuse

  4. High waste-strength situations

  5. Cost effective option to sewer

  6. Boosts performance of WW plants & STEP sewers

If you have any questions about the SludgeHammer or about any of our installations please give me a call.  The SludgeHammer product works differently than other technologies but like anything else it needs a trained professional available to correct the occasional difficulty.

Have you spotted a problem with one of our systems?  When communications break down, everybody has egg on their face.  All on-site products require a certain amount of maintenance and ours is no exception.  No service provider can be at the site all the time and sometimes you get the call before we do.  If it is one of our systems, we want to know about it and we will jump right on it.  We share the same Environmental Health goals and it is a win-win situation when you call us with information on one of our systems.  Please be sure to give us the address and we will take care of it immediately or if it is one of our competitors we will let you know.  Thanks for your help.

A word about the new Remediation RS&G.  This is an important document - and it references the new Remediation Drain-field Recovery Standard, which is IAPMO's #IGC 180-2003.  Consider adopting the IGC Standard for your jurisdiction.  This will simplify your life and protect the public from untested products.  The WAC give you full authority to do so.

We welcome all of our competitors to qualify under the IGC# 180-2003 Standard. The SludgeHammer  manufacturing facility gets surprise inspections; we MUST maintain the quality of our product and continue to meet the tough requirements of the IGC Standard.  Manufacturers of Non-listed products will be tempted to cut corners - nobody wants that!  I don't have to tell you that an untested product can create liabilities for your agency.  This is why recognition of appropriate up-to-date Standards is so important.

There are copy cat products trailing in the wake of Dr. Wickham's work.  Dr. Wickham, PhD is one of the  leading scientists in septic system remediation. You can tell a copy cat product because it is not UPC Listed.  Visit www.ANSI.org and search the standards for "IGC 180-2003" for qualifying products.  By adopting the IGC 180-2003 Standard product consistency is assured.  Ask your legal council about the value of adopting a known, nationally recognized standard vs. opening the door to non-listed products (produced in facilities without proper oversight).

To our Washington State Legislators & State Department of Health:

Thank you for your support, guidance, encouragement and advice.  Support for a new standard (instead of a specific product) creates a competitive playing field for all of us in the on-site industry.  It will quickly give us new tools for combating septic failures & environmental recovery.  Promoting Standards brings to the consumer the confidence of a tested product.  We have been working hard to listen carefully to all the input from various stakeholders since our legislation (HB 1821 & HB 2012) from the 2007 session.   Our new 2008 legislation SSB 6620 and now the proposed Budget version is a definite step in the right direction. I hope to have your continued support.  Feel free to contact Ezra at (360) 301-1842 or myself if you have any questions or suggestions.

...The difficulties of effectively administering on-site regulations are ... numerous... A second difficulty stems from the arduousness of the journey required for approval of new technologies.  Approval really should receive top priority from administrative agencies... many do not... I shall speak only to the issue of trust...  If a homeowner... paid $15,000 for a septic system when a better system would have cost $7,000, will that homeowner appreciate the services of the administrator?... We must ask: "Which is more worth protecting - the status quo or public health?"  Ken Morse 1998 Sept. Journal of Environmental Health.  Note:  When I wrote this opinion piece for JEH the SludgeHammer product was not even developed.  As it turns out it was somewhat prophetic.
